Is Tsunami's ship human made?
« on: June 16, 2010, 03:39:29 pm »
Ziggy's recent ship topic got me thinking, I think Tsunami-fune is the most beautiful of all ships :embarassed:

But all the other Jurain ships are human-made IIRC.  Maybe I recall some Okuda stories but I believe the 101 also mentions that craftsmen make the hull.  For instance, Aeka's Ryu-oh's defense shielding was not finished by the time of Ryoko's attack on Jurai.  The ships got made after a tree partnered with a human.

Is Tsunami-fune human made?  If so, why?  No one knew she was partnered with Sasami.

Are your picture about this ship ? I don't remember what it looks.

I seriously doubt Tsunami's ship was human made. In all probability, she simply materialized it out of thin air. She is a actual goddess after all.

For all intent and purposes a Jurai ship is not the same as a Jurai Tree. The Tree serves as a powersource and central processor/computer. But otherwise most of the physical parts of a Jurai Tree Ship is designed by mortal hands.

As was shown in GXP, a Jurai wood ship is actually mostly decoration; All that wood is just for looks. The physical ship is nested in the middle and shaped like a disc, almost a classic UFO. And like a TARDIS, it is bigger on the inside.

I don't believe we have ever seen the interior of the Tsunami ship. The fact that she hadn't been partnered with anyone for a long time means there is just no point showing it.

I know all of that. But I still maintain that her ship was materialized by her own hand. Why would Tsunami let Juraians make her ship for her? Also Juraian wooden hulls are somewhat new themselves. In the early days of the Juraian Empire, people used metal instead of wood. Misaki Masaki herself still has her tree and a metal hull for her ship.

Well, we have never seen Tsunami make anything. Tokimi granted Dr Clay the power to create Zero's copy power, but Clay still had to build Zero himself. And Washu's tech is not made with divine powers except for the power gems. Everything else she made is with physical matter, even if they are advance enough to be nearly magical. (Washu uses advance Replicators.)
Ryoko and the Cabbits? Well... That's a grey area. The Cabbits are supposedly replicable in theory, but Washu will let the tech lose in the world over her dead body.

The fact that Jurai is still researching means to make their 2nd and 3rd generation Jurai ships more powerful, means it is unlikely Tsunami had gave them any technology as such. It's just that we never saw Tsunami conjure things out of thin air, so I find it hard to believe she would have done so back in the past.

We didn't see her and her sisters create the multiverse either, and yet they did it.
