Chapter 9: Light and Darkness I: Divine Inferno
« on: 21-Sep-2007 @ 14:12:18 »
Two weeks have passed since Zurubane unleashed the A Bros.  In that time frame nearly three cities have been decimated.  After an ambush the A Bros have acquired DP's sword, and they have already found three of the hell items necessary to activate the Ulimate Destruction Array.  In that time frame the combine forces of heros and villains have been utterly defeated at each battle.  However the heros have also found five pieces of a weapon that can defeat the A. Bros.

Currently the group is gathered on hallowed ground safe from the A. Bros at least until dawn.

Predator"We know the location of the last two pieces of the spear, but there is a major problem."
"Damn!"
-Ron Simmons

"Well, don't leave us hanging. What's the problem?" Alexis asked.

Malistyrax throws a really old scroll against a wall, and it turns to dust.  "The first damn piece is in hell."  He slams his fist onto the desk and shatters the wood.

"Ah. Yeah, that'd be a bit of a problem." Alexis said. "Where's the other piece?"

"Wow. That doesn't sound too bad. Let's just go get that piece and destroy it so that it can't be used, therefore making the other piece unnecessary." Alexis said.

"No we need those pieces to defeat them," Chimera says.  "Remember that we need to build the spear of divine justice, and destroy the hell artifacts.

"How are we gonna get to heaven and hell?"  Edge's question though appropriate, is also disheartening.  "Other then dying of course."
"Damn!"

"Well, we could all kill Malistyrax, then he can go get the one in hell, then all we gotta do is figure out who'd be able to get into heaven and kill them to get the other piece for us" Covenant suggested to th eothers, loungign around on a giant glowing red cloud

"What about if we just kill him, if nothing else we'll get a little piece and quiet" Celestial whispered to Alexis

"If you let me, I could see if I could blow up heaven to get that piece" Semtex suggested, still struggling to remove the iron gloves they'd placed on his hands ever since the battle with the Appocalypse brothers

"Only a living soul can escape hell.  Being dead is no good!"  Malistyrax heaves half of the broken desk at Covanent.  Lycan swats it out the air, and jacks Covanent up by the collar.  "I could always send you to devil myself," She hisses before dropping him.
"Damn it calm down," Bone says looking rather smug.  "I think that I might know of a place that might be useful, but there is a chance that its total bull."
"Damn!"

"Better than nothing," Alexis said quickly, wanting to avoid everyone blowing each other up. "What's your idea, Bone?"

"Rumor is Rosselin Cathedral in Scotland supposedly contains a gateway that leads somewhere off the planet.  Nobody has been able to get tge gate to resonate correctly to make it activate, but several real psychics have confirmed something is there.  So something is there, but it may not be what we need."

Alexis shrugged, "Well, unless anyone else has another idea, that's probably the best lead we've got."

"I wish it was so simple," Malistyrax says.  "We will have to cross the gate if it works, and enter two dimensions forbidden to living souls."

"Think they'll allow cameras?" Alexis muttered to Celestial. Louder, she asked, "Any idea of what might be guarding these pieces?"
