About a week has passed since Demonbane was recovered and the heros have been called to a briefing.

Predator"Good morning, I have somehting interesting for you to look at."  On a screen behind him a video starts to play showing a microscopic robot being tested.  "A government facility experimenting with nanotechnology was attacked.  First their electronic security net was breached and in 30 seconds it was utterly mutilated. 
Only one nanny-cam set by one of the scientists even caught a glimpse of the attacker take a look."  The video is of poor quality, but a figure appears in front of the camera.  He walks right to a computer and his hands break apart into dozens of small appendages.  He types at the keyboard so fast that the tex on the screen is a blur.  Suddenly guards kick in the door and he only takes one hand away from the keyboard.  He uses a sword to block their machine gun fire, but then the video goes black.
"The camera was hit by a stray shot so it did not catch him mutilate the guards with that sword.  Does the MO seem familar?"

Predator"At the same time another incident occured an armored car leaving the casinos on the Los Valos strip was attack by a lone individual.  The guards were slaughtered by what appears to have been a tiger with a human hand.  One of the gaurds was holding in his hand a piece of a long black trench coat with a green border."

(('two of a kind'? what an ominous title for the chapter.))

[avatar=133,521]"Chimera." Alexis said, frowning. "Looks like we've officially changed the timeline."[/avatar]

Predator"The travellor said the past is definite, but the future can be altered.  However we may not have had any impact on the timeline yet."  He shuts off the screen tired of the memories that the bodies of the armored car guards bring up.
"This bothers me," he says.

Predator"No, Edge has stolen a massive amount of data and hardware pertaining to nanobot research, and Dr Mako the guy who made Chimera and Edge has gone missing.  I can only conclude that Edge is trying to upgrade himself into Edge Kai model using the nanites.  Likewise Chimera is trying to purify his genome."

[Lord Revan]

[avatar=126,659]"i'm after edge" shotgun rushes out of the room mounts his battle cycle and rides off[/avatar]

[avatar=133,521]"Wow, he's impulsive." Alexis remarked. "And he's also probably as good as dead. Maybe those two could just finish each other off." Getting back on topic, Alexis said, "We need to find a way to stop them from getting to those stronger phases. I do not want to face down Frenzy Chimera again."[/avatar]

Predator"He won't get too far,"  Predator says.  He takes out the computer and oders it to keep track of Shotgun.  "Celestial follow him and try to meet up so that Edge Kai is not created by Shotgun.  Alexis you can do whatever, but if you try to track Chimera you will take orders from me."

[Yosei-chan]

[avatar=133,521]Alexis pondered it for a minute, torn between helping her friends and going after Chimera. "I'll go after Chimera." Alexis eventually said. "I want to see if I can eliminate the threat of Frenzy Chimera appearing in the future."[/avatar]

  "On it" Celestial replied, sensing Earth switch to Saturn he took off at superspeed after Shotgun, quickly matching pace with his motorcycle

   "Predator said you could do with some backup" he said to Shotgun

Predator"Lets go Alexis we have an armored car to investigate."

The two of them arrive in at the scene.  The four bodies have been removed, but the armored car is a mess.  Predator immediatly moves to examine a large scratch on the side of the car.

[avatar=133,521]Alexis walked around the car, looking at the huge amounts of damage that Chimera had done to it. "He did all this to an armored car?" Her hands strayed to her swords, hoping that Chimera wouldn't sneak attack them.[/avatar]
